OHC 2019 "The Generation Gain - Challenges & Opportunities"
22-23 November 2019, ICC Wales
The Oral Health Conference & Exhibition (OHC is the BSDHT’s flagship member conference and the largest annual event in the UK for Dental Hygienists
and Dental Therapists. Relevant to all – from students through to those in clinical practice – it will offer clinical education, Enhanced CPD
hours, and provide a forum for members and others to hear from leading speakers and receive updates from the profession, as well as the chance
to network with colleagues, experts, and industry.
This year’s theme will be focused on treating patients across the generations, recognising the challenges and opportunities that present when treating patients at different stages of their life and what we can learn that will help improve our patients’ outcomes and develop us as clinicians and professionals. As ever, the programme will be packed with clinical and professional sessions that cover a wealth of topics. OHC2019 is built from delegate feedback from the 2018 event and will be bigger, better, and more relevant than ever – we look forward to seeing you there.

1. Attend education sessions designed to be applicable to your day-to-day work.
2. Gain up to 11 hours of Enhanced CPD.

Watch the videos below and hear from some of our members about last year’s OHC and why they attend.
Who should attend?
The conference has something for all the dental team including Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy students. The BSDHT encourages skill mix and recognises the benefit of this team approach.
The programme is available now. With a combination of exiting keynotes speakers and multi-stream parallel sessions, the programme is designed so you can plan your attendance to suit your individual learning needs. Click here to download it.
Once again, we invite abstracts to be considered for the annual poster competition. Many of us have undertaken or been involved in research activity that would be of great interest to others in our profession and so we’d be pleased to receive abstracts of your work to be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Successful submissions will be displayed as posters at the conference and prizes awarded for best posters.
Abstracts should be submitted by 13 September 2019 – click here to find out more.

What others say:
“I have never been to an OHC before but I was very pleased and impressed with the whole organisation of the day. The CPD lectures and talks were very useful and the range of speakers was impressive. The exhibition stands were of excellent topics with a good range of products to enable variety and choice. I fully enjoyed the day and wish I had attended for both days. I will definitely be attending the next one.” 2018 delegate
