Oral Health Conference & Exhibition 2020 Online - 'See and be seen' (OHC2020 online)

Oral Health Conference & Exhibition 2020 Online - ‘See and be seen’

    26-28 November 2020

The Oral Health Conference & Exhibition (OHC) is the BSDHT’s flagship member conference and the largest annual event in the UK for Dental Hygienists and Dental Therapists. Relevant to all – from students through to those in clinical practice – it will offer clinical education, Enhanced CPD hours, and provide a forum for members and others to hear from leading speakers and receive updates from the profession, as well as the chance to network with colleagues, experts, and industry. In 2020, OHC will be brought to you online!

While we were unable to be together in Glasgow as planned, we’re so pleased to still be able to bring the OHC to you in these unprecedented times. Online sessions will run on the evenings of Thursday 26 and Friday 27 November, and during the day on Saturday 28 November – making it as convenient as possible to fit attending live sessions around your working patterns. Further still, if you book a place then this will allow you to dip in and out of live sessions as you wish, as well as catch up on any you missed in an on-demand library for 8 weeks afterwards.

Read on for more details and find out how you can access educational sessions and ECPD, talks by leading speakers, interactive Q&A and panel discussions, industry sessions and demos, online posters and more – all from the comfort of your own home or wherever you might be! All you need is a laptop or mobile device and an internet connection.

    Who should attend?

The online conference has something for all the dental team, including Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy students. The BSDHT encourages skill mix and recognises the benefit of this team approach.

    Programme

The programme so far is available here and we’ll be adding further content over the coming weeks. Speakers confirmed so far include Dr Ian Dunn and Professor Nicola West, who will be part of a stellar speaker panel covering clinical and professional topics – keep an eye out for updates. All sessions include Q&A so you’ll still have the chance to interact with speakers and other delegates.

Call for abstracts for poster presentation

We are still inviting abstracts to be considered for the annual poster competition and successful posters will be presented as part of an online poster display. The deadline to submit your abstract is 27 October – find full details here .

    How to book

Registration is open now – book your place here to give you full access to the live online sessions, as well as 8 weeks access to the on-demand library to catch up on any you missed. Book you place here.

Member tickets are just £30 and we’re also pleased to offer a team ticket – for just £64 your practice team can access the online event. The ticket includes access for one dental hygienist or dental therapist BSDHT member, one dentist, and one dental nurse. As always, we’ll be offering a reduced fee to our student members who can attend for just £10.
