Caroline Clitter is a qualified dental therapist and dental hygienist. She has worked in dental hospitals, community clinics, NHS and private dental practices. Early in her career she worked as a dental therapist in Minneapolis, USA. Currently she works in Lymington, Hampshire.
Caroline edited BDHA's journal, Dental Health for ten years, following that she was elected BDHA's President (2000 - 2002). During the time of her office the Association was put onto a firmer legal footing by becoming a Company Limited by Guarantee. Also under her tenure a strategic plan was implemented; BDHA's image was rejuvenated with the re-design of the logo and the re-launch of the website; advice sheets for members were re-written and new titles introduced. Whilst president, an additional adminisrative team member was recruited as BDHA Informaion Officer.
Currently Caroline is on the GDC's Fitness to Practice panel and a member of the editorial boards of Primary Dental Care and Team in Practice.
Away from dentistry Caroline helps with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. |
