2008 ORAL HEALTH CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION
Edinburgh International Conference Centre Edinburgh, Scotland
21 & 22 November
Conference review
There are many ways to determine success but a prime measure must certainly be attendance and with approximately 950 delegates attending the recent BSDHT Oral Health Conference & Exhibition at the International Conference Centre in Edinburgh, success was inevitable.
The event boasted a raft of highlights aimed at broadening the awareness and skills of today's professional hygienists and therapists: 57 trade stands where delegates could learn more about the latest products, techniques and services on offer from leading trade organisations; 14 workshops and seminars covering an array of topics from what's new in paediatric dentistry to legal and ethical dilemmas; more than 10 hours of verifiable and general CPD, and if that's not enough, delegates attending the gala dinner were entertained with the witty repartee of after dinner speaker, Kevin Lewis.
The event was carefully managed to give delegates a superb experience and to provide them with a positive launch pad for pursuing their obligations as registered professionals in 2009. BSDHT is already preparing for its 2009 conference on 16th & 17th October at the Bournemouth International Conference Centre and it looks forward to delivering another outstanding event to members of the profession and the wider dental community.
