Bridge2Aid team set to ride Kilimanjaro for charity

To raise much-needed funds for Bridge2Aid, eight riders are busy getting ready for a 5-day cycle from the base of Kilimanjaro to the Ngorogoro Crater, a distance of 360km.

The demanding bike ride will see these brave cyclists tested to their limits, as they face hot, challenging and fascinating days through Maasai villages and the Great Rift Valley, always in sight of Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

Speaking about their excursion in Tanzania, Shaenna Loughnane commented: ‘I think it is fair to say we are all excited, exercising as much as we can in anticipation and somewhat apprehensive. It’s great that we will have each other’s support, as well as the support of everyone at home, cheering us on across the many thousands of miles!’

Shaenna added, ‘Whatever the journey brings, we are proud to be raising money for Bridge2Aid in this way, and can hopefully make a significant contribution to the fund that helps health workers eliminate dental pain and suffering to improve quality of life in a growing number of rural communities.’
