HPV Action - boys’ immunisation programme delayed!
HPV oropharyngeal cancers afflict four times as many men as women. The Mail on Sunday has learned that a decision on whether to recommend vaccination for boys by the NHS Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) – the first step towards a boys' immunisation programme – has been delayed indefinitely.
The Mail on Sunday plans to run a campaign on this issue and there will be further articles in the coming weeks.
The JCVI meets again on 7 February and will be actively following up with letters to MPs.
