NICE guideline update recruitment - Diabetes

We have been asked to circulate an email from NICE - please see below

Dear colleagues,

I am writing to tell you that we are recruiting members for one of our guideline Committees.

We are looking for experts on Diabetes to join our guideline update committee to update the following guidelines:

NG17 – Type 1 in adults: diagnosis and management

NG28 – Type 2 in adults: management

NG18 – Type 1 and 2 in children and young people: diagnosis and management

NG3 – Diabetes in pregnancy

We need people with a professional or practitioner background in the topic and lay members (people using services, family members and carers, and members of the public and community or voluntary sector). The committee membership has been produced based on the topic areas that will be covered in the update. If a specific role does not appear on the list at this stage, it may be that the role is not yet required for the area to be covered in the updates. After the scoping phase, we may have a further round of recruitment with additional roles that have been identified.

If you or any of your colleagues would like to apply, there are more details on the NICE website. The deadline for applications is 27th August at 5pm.

If you have any queries about Committee membership or the recruitment process, please contact Anneka Patel at

Kind regards,

Guideline updates team

Anneka Patel
