Andrea started her dental career in 1996, after qualifying as a Dental Nurse in 1998 she studied at the Burkhart School of Hygiene and Therapy at the Eastman Dental Hospital and, in 2000 was awarded a Diploma in Dental Therapy and a separate Diploma in Dental Hygiene.
Andrea has been an active member of the BSDHT's Eastern regional group for many years and has assisted at meetings and assisted a previous treasurer during their maternity cover. She was elected as the Regional Council Representative in Autumn 2016.
Having worked in various dental practices, Andrea currently does 1 or 2 days a week clinical work, having reduced her hours when she was appointed as a General Dental Council Fitness to Practice panel member. She further reduced her days last year when she became a professional educator for Waterpik.
Andrea has volunteered as a parent governor at her children’s primary school since 2016 and was sworn in as a Justice of the Peace in October 2017.
