Annette is a dedicated and patient focused dental hygienist-therapist, qualifying from Sheffield University in 2013 with a Diploma of Higher Education in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy.
She also has over 9 years experience within dentistry working previously as a dental nurse and practice manager in practices within the East Midlands.
Annette prides herself with exceptional patient skills focused on oral hygiene care as well as preventative management. She maintains an active interest in new developments within dentistry and will continually be advancing her skills and experience throughout her career.
Annette has always been an active member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and feels that being so keeps her in an optimum position for changes within the fast paced dental industry. She understands the importance of being a member of the Society and has many ideas to bring both new and old members into a more powerful network of professionals through social media.
Newly appointed in April 2014 Annette was successful in attaining the new role of BSDHT Social Media Co-ordinator and feels excited and honoured to be able to build relations with members and use this platform to communicate with members, the wider dental profession and the public.
She believes that social media will give BSDHT members an improved experience, giving each and every one a voice to bring them together, at the same time creating a clear public relations message about dental hygienists and those dually qualified in Dental Hygiene and Therapy and what they can do!
Annette is a keen runner and in 2013 ran the London Marathon raising almost £3000 for charity.
This year she is taking part in a tandem skydive to raise even more funds for charity.
