Simone studied Medical Microbiology at the University of Surrey, thereafter went to The Royal London, Queen Mary and Westfield and studied Dental Hygiene
and Dental Therapy. Simone is in her final year of a distance Masters in Public Health at the University of Manchester.
Simone has a passion for science and that is why she endeavoured to utilise her microbiology following qualification as a dental hygienist.
Simone had the privilege of working as a research dental hygienist, which enhanced her knowledge of best practice and good clinical governance, and enabled her to utilise both microbiology and dental skills.
Simone is highly enthusiastic and has been in the dental industry for over twenty years and qualified as a Dental Hygienist/Dental Therapist in 2004.
She is currently the chairperson for BSDHT Thames Valley Regional Group and a member of the publications committee.
Simone is eager to enhance and develop her scientific skills that will stretch her analytical abilities. She has acquired leadership skills and strategic planning.
She is currently a territory manager and clinical expert for Oral-B where she is involved with delivering educational lectures and programmes to the dental profession.
Another passion Simone has apart from dentistry is volunteering. She has been on many dental outreach missions and has coordinated and lead various teams to Zimbabwe.
Simone was elected to the Executive Team at the BSDHT Council Meeting in February 2019.
