Interim Chief Dental Officer England, Jason Wong, and his team will be hosting a series of topical presentations in the CDO Theatre at BDIA Dental Showcase 2024. 

In addition to the networking opportunities, there will be both panel discussions and presentations from leading experts for dental professionals to attend. Subject areas featured in the CDO Theatre programme will include: 

• Research opportunities in primary care, including presentations from the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), chaired by Professor Avijit Banerjee (National Industry Group Lead for the NIHR Research Delivery Network & Lead for South London Local Clinical Research Network)
• Making skill mix work in dental practice, chaired by Interim Deputy Chief Dental Officer, Shabir Shivji 
• Patient safety – how team safety affects patient safety, chaired by Interim Chief Dental Officer England, Jason Wong
• Career pathways, including talks on clinical and non-clinical opportunities for the whole dental team, chaired by Deputy Chief Dental Officer, Nick Barker
• Personalising care – caring for patients with high and complex needs, chaired by Clinical Policy Lead at the Office of the Chief Dental Officer, Divyash Patel
• Oral health inequalities, including discussion around Core20PLUS5 and caring for patients with high needs, chaired by Interim Deputy Chief Dental Officer, Shabir Shivji

There will also be Q&A sessions and the chance to participate in broader discussions about the topics raised on the adjoining CDO Zone stand.

Jason Wong, Interim Chief Dental Officer England, will also deliver a Keynote Address at the Clinical Theatre on both Friday 22^nd and Saturday 23^rd March at 10:00am.
